Enjoyed the rise of the sun after another viewing of the close pairing of planets this morning.

Central star steadily visible with direct vision and a 6.7mm EP, nebula faded quite a bit when looking directly at the central star, but popped bright blue/cyan with averted vision. Still have not repeated the glimpse of red detected in the outer ring several weeks ago on a night of good seeing and darker skies.

Very faint, invisible without the ultrablock filter. Very dim circular nebula detectable with averted vision in 9mm EP with ultrablock filter. Difficult object in my suburban sky.

The wonderful Owl Cluster. Great crisp views, very rich cluster with so many colors and brightness variations. I will revisit this jewel and attempt to sketch.
