Spotted this one with the 8 inch at an FIU star party. The view was stunning. The cluster was resolved all the way to the core.

Wow, this globular is thoroughly unimpressive, almost exactly like M10.

Picked up in the finder using averted vision. No stars were resolvable except for a bright star in the center, even with the use of higher magnification. A very underwhelming result. But with the XT8i the cluster shows hints of resolution.

Faint, a small ball of unresolved light fairly unimpressive.

First viewed with my 10x50. The nebulosity is easier viewed with binoculars although hints of nebulosity are visible in the telescope. The embedded cluster is also nice.
